Heavy-duty flat-base tripod for professional camera support

Trapper Tripod with Flat Base is a robust aluminium tripod designed for professional camera rigs, studio work and support applications where high load capacity and a rigid platform are more important than lightweight transport. Instead of a 75 mm or 100 mm bowl, the tripod uses a flat top plate with a central 3/8″ mounting point and four additional M4 mounting holes, making it suitable for compatible flat-base heads, adapters and custom support hardware.

The tripod offers a working height from approximately 510 mm to 1300 mm. With only two leg sections, the construction remains simple and rigid, while the folded length of about 750 mm keeps the system manageable for transport between locations.

40 kg payload and stable aluminium construction

The tripod is rated for loads up to 40 kg, making it suitable for heavier cinema cameras, studio configurations and other support setups that exceed the practical range of many lightweight photo and video tripods. Its aluminium construction provides durability for repeated rental and production use, while the total tripod weight of approximately 4.9 kg helps keep the system stable under larger rigs.

A built-in spirit level in the tripod crown makes it easier to check the basic level of the support before mounting and fine-tuning the camera or head.

Ground spreader for a controlled footprint

The included lower ground spreader helps maintain a consistent leg angle and improves stability on flat studio floors, interiors and other relatively even surfaces. This is especially useful when supporting heavier camera packages where unwanted leg movement could affect safety or framing.

The flat-base design also makes the tripod useful beyond conventional video heads, including selected sliders, custom mounting plates and other equipment that can be secured through the 3/8″ interface or additional M4 mounting points.
