Sachtler ACE

Lightweight 75 mm tripod system for compact camera rigs

Sachtler ACE is a professional fluid-head tripod system designed for mirrorless cameras, DSLRs and compact cinema rigs weighing up to 4 kg. Its 75 mm bowl allows fast levelling without changing the length of individual tripod legs, making the system practical for interviews, documentaries, events, corporate work and lightweight location shooting.

The head provides a tilt range from +90° to -75° and uses a sliding camera plate with approximately 104 mm of adjustment. This helps position accessorized cameras correctly over the head before counterbalance is set.

5-step counterbalance and adjustable pan/tilt drag

The ACE head offers five counterbalance steps plus a zero setting, allowing the spring force to be matched to different camera weights and centres of gravity. Correct counterbalance helps the camera remain at the chosen tilt angle and reduces the effort required during long takes.

Pan and tilt drag are independently adjustable through three resistance levels plus zero. This gives the operator four selectable positions on each axis, from free movement to stronger damping for slower, more controlled pans and tilts. The fluid system is designed to provide consistent movement across a wide operating temperature range.

Two-stage aluminium tripod with ground spreader

The rental system uses a two-stage aluminium tripod with a 75 mm bowl and detachable ground spreader. The spreader helps create a stable footprint on studio floors, interiors and other relatively even surfaces, while the two-stage legs allow quick height adjustment. The complete system weighs approximately 4.5 kg, making it light enough for mobile crews while still providing professional camera support.

Complete rental set

Our rental package includes the Sachtler ACE Fluid Head, Sachtler Aluminium Tripod with Ground Spreader and carrying bag. The system is a practical choice for compact camera packages where fast setup, smooth movement and manageable transport weight are more important than the higher payload capacity of larger ENG tripod systems.
