Insta360 Luna Ultra is Insta360’s flagship “gimbal” camera. It debuted on June 10, 2026. It was developed in collaboration with Leica. It is the two companies’ first joint project in the gimbal camera category. The Luna Ultra features a dual Leica Summicron lens system. The main lens works with a 1-inch sensor and allows recording in 8K. The second lens is a telephoto lens with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and an F2.0 aperture. It offers up to 12x digital zoom, including 6x zoom with no visible loss of quality. This allows the Luna Ultra to combine a wide-angle view with the ability to capture impressive close-ups. At the heart of the camera is a triple AI processor responsible for stabilization, subject tracking, and real-time image processing.
