24.2 MP full-frame hybrid camera

Released in December 2022, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a versatile full-frame RF-mount camera built around a 24.2 MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processor. It combines strong stills performance with advanced video features in a compact body, making it a practical choice for commercials, events, interviews, documentary work, music videos and hybrid productions. The standard still-image ISO range extends to 102400, giving the camera useful flexibility in low-light environments.

Up to 40 fps and intelligent subject tracking

With the electronic shutter, the EOS R6 Mark II can shoot at up to 40 frames per second, making it well suited to fast-moving subjects and moments that are difficult to repeat. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II provides wide-area autofocus with subject detection and tracking for people, animals and vehicles. The camera also includes five-axis in-body image stabilization with up to 8 stops of correction when used in compatible configurations, helping with handheld photography and smoother video capture.

Uncropped 4K 60p from 6K oversampling

For video, the EOS R6 Mark II records uncropped 4K UHD at up to 59.94 fps using the full sensor width and 6K oversampling, delivering detailed footage without an additional crop. Full HD high-frame-rate recording reaches 179.82 fps for slow-motion work. Canon Log 3 and 10-bit 4:2:2 recording are available in compatible modes, giving filmmakers more flexibility for colour grading and matching footage with other Canon mirrorless and cinema cameras.

Dual SD card slots and production-friendly design

The camera uses two SD card slots compatible with UHS-II media, allowing flexible recording, overflow or backup workflows. A fully articulating touchscreen, electronic viewfinder, microphone input and headphone output make the body easy to integrate into compact video rigs. RF lenses mount directly, while Canon EF and EF-S lenses can be used with an appropriate EF-EOS R adapter, making the camera useful for productions that already rely on existing Canon glass.
