GoPro Mission 1 Pro Standard Day ND Filter Kit 4 Pack

The GoPro Mission 1 Pro Standard Day ND Filter Kit is a 4-pack of fixed neutral density filters: ND8, ND16, ND32 and ND64. An ND filter cuts the amount of light entering the lens without changing colours. That means on a sunny day you can shoot with a slower shutter speed and get natural motion blur, rather than the crisp, choppy look typical of action cameras running very fast shutter speeds.

Cinematic motion with the 180-degree rule

For video, a good rule of thumb is a shutter speed of roughly one over twice your frame rate, e.g. 1/50 s at 25 fps. In full sun without a filter, though, the camera has to drop to very fast shutter speeds to avoid overexposure. This kit gives you four strengths, from 3 to 6 stops. ND8 works in moderate daylight and light overcast, ND16 and ND32 on a typical sunny day, and ND64 in very bright sun, on snow, on water and at the beach.

Quick mounting and automatic recognition

The filters go on tool-free. Line up the index mark on the filter with the mark on the camera, press and twist 45° clockwise. Each filter weighs about 18 g, so it adds next to nothing to the camera. According to the manufacturer, Mission 1 series cameras automatically recognise the attached filter. The kit fits the GoPro Mission 1 Pro and Mission 1. All four filters fit in a compact case, so they are easy to swap in the field.
