Advanced two-handed operation for DJI Ronin gimbals

Tilta Advanced Ring Grip is a carbon-fiber support system designed to give gimbal operators more control, better ergonomics and additional accessory mounting options during professional camera work. Instead of operating the gimbal only from its standard battery grip, the ring creates a wider two-handed frame around the stabilizer. This makes it easier to guide the camera through walking shots, low-angle moves and longer takes while reducing strain on the wrists and forearms.

The ring itself has a net weight of approximately 1.13 kg and is designed around compatible DJI Ronin systems. With the included Wireless Control Receiver Module and Remote Control Handle, the setup supports wireless control with DJI RS 2, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5. The original Ronin battery handle can be mounted at the top of the ring, where it can serve both as a power source and as a convenient top handle for quick transitions into low-mode operation.

Wireless gimbal and camera control from the right handle

The included Remote Control Handle gives the operator direct access to gimbal movement and selected camera functions without reaching for the main Ronin controls. Its thumbstick can be used to control pan and tilt, while dedicated controls provide access to operating modes as well as record and photo functions on supported camera setups. A focus wheel can also control a compatible DJI or Tilta lens-control motor.

Communication between the handle and the gimbal is handled by the included Wireless Control Receiver Module. This creates a cleaner operating setup with fewer control cables around the ring and allows the operator to keep both hands in a stable working position while adjusting the shot.

Dual-channel wireless lens control

On the opposite side of the ring, the Dual Channel Wireless Lens Control Handle adds two independent focus wheels for Tilta Nucleus-series motors. This allows an operator or assistant to control two lens functions, such as focus and iris or focus and zoom, directly from the ring. The two wheels are positioned for thumb and index-finger operation, making lens adjustments possible without letting go of the main grip.

The handles can also be used wirelessly when powered by suitable 18650 batteries, or powered through the ring when the appropriate Ronin battery handle or optional battery plate is installed. This makes the system flexible for both compact builds and longer production days.

Accessory mounting and complete rental package

The ring provides mounting points for accessories such as an on-board monitor, wireless video transmitter, microphone or small light. Optional V-Mount or Gold Mount power accessories can also be added when a production needs longer runtime or a central power source for several devices. The lower section includes an integrated kickstand, allowing the complete gimbal rig to be placed safely on the ground between takes.

Our rental package includes Ring Grip Part I with the battery-handle mount, Ring Grip Part II with the integrated kickstand, the Wireless Control Receiver Module for DJI Ronin, the Remote Control Handle, the Dual Channel Wireless Lens Control Handle and a carrying bag. For longer operating sessions, the setup can also be paired with a compatible Easyrig support system such as the Minimax, provided the complete working weight falls within the Easyrig’s specified load range.
