Monopod Manfrotto MVMXPRO500

Professional video monopod with FLUIDTECH base

Manfrotto MVMXPRO500 is a four-section aluminium video monopod designed for documentary, event, sports and run-and-gun production where mobility is more important than a full tripod footprint. It supports camera packages up to 8 kg while keeping the complete system weight to approximately 1.95 kg.

The monopod extends from about 78 cm to 203 cm, making it useful for low standing positions, eye-level work and overhead shooting above crowds. Quick Power Lock levers allow fast height changes, while the D-shaped aluminium tubes help resist unwanted rotation during rapid camera movement.

Fluid video head and 500PLONG plate

The integrated Manfrotto 500-series fluid head provides smooth pan and tilt movement for compact cinema cameras, DSLRs and mirrorless rigs. It uses the 500PLONG quick-release plate and a side-lock system that allows the camera to drop into the head from above for fast mounting.

The head offers a tilt range of approximately -70° to +90° and full 360° panning. An Easy Link 3/8″ connector can be used for compatible accessories such as a monitor arm.

FLUIDTECH base for 3D movement

The FLUIDTECH base adds fluid movement in pan, tilt and swivel, giving the monopod more controlled freedom than a traditional single-foot design. Three retractable feet improve stability while keeping the system compact for transport.

The vertical lock can restrict the base for more controlled panning, but the system should still be operated as a monopod rather than treated as a self-standing tripod.
