LED Ring Light NeeWer SRP18

The NeeWer SRP18 ring light is an 18-inch bi-color LED ring that delivers soft, even, on-axis light. Your camera or smartphone sits in the centre of the ring, so the face is lit straight on, shadows are kept to a minimum and you get that signature circular catchlight in the eyes. It is a go-to tool for beauty work, portraits, vlogs, talking-head interviews and live streams.

Adjustable colour temperature and output

The ring houses 272 SMD LEDs drawing 42 W, with a CRI of 95, so skin tones render accurately. That matters for make-up tutorials and close-ups. Colour temperature runs from 3200K to 5600K, from warm tungsten to daylight, and output dims smoothly from 0 to 100%. That makes it easy to match practicals in a room or a window in the frame. NeeWer rates it at 2150 lux at 0.5 m and 880 lux at 1 m. It is designed for close-range work rather than lighting wide set-ups.

Touch panel or remote control

You can adjust settings on the built-in touch panel with an LCD readout or with the 2.4 GHz wireless remote. The remote offers 11 channels, so with several lights on set you can control each one separately. That is handy when you are on camera yourself and don’t want to keep walking back to the stand.

A complete kit, ready to go

The kit includes an aluminium light stand extending from 78 to 190 cm, a smartphone holder and a ball head with a 1/4″ screw for a lightweight mirrorless camera or a compact camcorder. The light runs on mains power via a 12–15V DC adapter, and the whole kit packs into a carrying bag. Set-up takes a few minutes, so the ring light is well suited to small studios, beauty salons and quick location shoots.
