GoPro 12

Released in September 2023, the GoPro HERO12 Black is a rugged action camera designed for sports, travel, POV footage, vehicle rigs and productions that need a small camera in places where a conventional cinema body would be impractical. It keeps the large 8:7 sensor format introduced with the HERO11 Black, but adds longer runtimes, HDR video, improved HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization and more professional workflow tools such as GP-Log and wireless timecode sync.

5.3K60, 4K120 and flexible 8:7 capture

The camera records up to 5.3K 60p, 4K 120p and 2.7K 240p, giving operators a useful range from high-resolution master shots to extreme slow motion. The 8:7 sensor format captures a taller frame than conventional 16:9, allowing one shot to be reframed later for horizontal, vertical or square delivery. GoPro also supports 10-bit color at 4K and above, HDR video in selected modes and GP-Log with LUT support for more controlled grading.

HyperSmooth 6.0 provides strong electronic stabilization for handheld, helmet and vehicle work, while 360° Horizon Lock is available in compatible modes. Bluetooth audio support lets the camera work with devices such as Apple AirPods or compatible wireless microphones for narration and remote voice control. HERO12 also adds wireless timecode synchronization, which is useful when several cameras need to be aligned quickly in post-production.

Waterproof body and extended rental kit

The body is waterproof to 10 metres without an additional housing and includes folding mounting fingers plus a standard 1/4-20 thread, giving crews flexibility with action mounts, clamps, tripods and custom rigs. GoPro’s Enduro battery and redesigned power management provide substantially longer runtimes than the previous generation, especially in demanding high-resolution modes.

Our rental package includes three GoPro Enduro batteries, a Dual Battery Charger and USB power adapter for longer shooting days. Two 128GB microSD cards provide practical media rotation, while the included USB-C to USB-A cable, microSD-to-SD adapter and carrying case simplify charging, offloading and transport between locations.
