Dummy Battery ZGCINE PD-LPE6

The ZGCINE PD-LPE6 supplies external power to a compatible Canon camera through an LP-E6 dummy battery. Insert the adapter into the camera’s battery compartment and connect its USB-C plug to a suitable USB-C Power Delivery source. Unlike a rechargeable battery, it does not store energy: the camera relies on the connected power supply throughout use. This makes it a practical option for interviews, webinars, live streaming and other tripod-based shoots where changing batteries would interrupt your workflow.

Power your camera from a wall charger or power bank

For studio work, connect the adapter to a suitable USB-C PD wall charger. When filming away from mains power, you can use a compatible power bank or battery with the required USB-C PD output. A USB-C socket alone does not guarantee compatibility. The manufacturer specifies a PD source rated at least 18 W, supporting 9 V / 2 A or 12 V / 1.5 A. The adapter provides a regulated output of 8 V at up to 2 A.

Check camera compatibility before renting

Please contact us before renting so we can check compatibility with your exact camera model. This PD-LPE6 adapter is not suitable for newer EOS cameras that require an LP-E6P power solution. A matching battery compartment does not necessarily mean the adapter will work correctly with the camera’s electronics or meet its power requirements.

Before connecting the power source, check how the cable should exit the battery compartment and how to close the battery door correctly. External power can reduce interruptions caused by battery changes, but it does not remove the camera’s recording limits, thermal restrictions or memory card capacity limits. Keeping these factors in mind helps you prepare a suitable setup for longer sessions.
