Blackmagic Pocket 6K PRO

Introduced in February 2021, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro is a compact Super 35 digital film camera designed for commercials, music videos, documentaries and independent narrative work. It combines a 6144 × 3456 HDR sensor with an active Canon EF mount, giving crews access to a huge range of photographic and cinema lenses while keeping the camera body small enough for handheld rigs, sliders, car mounts and compact studio setups.

6K Blackmagic RAW, dual native ISO and built-in ND

The camera records Blackmagic RAW internally at up to 6K 50p, or 6K 2.4:1 at up to 60p. For high-speed work, 2.8K 17:9 and Full HD can reach 120 fps. Blackmagic specifies 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO values of 400 and 3200, providing useful flexibility when moving between controlled lighting and darker interiors. A major advantage of the Pro version is its built-in motorized IR ND system with clear, 2-stop, 4-stop and 6-stop positions, allowing exposure to be adjusted without changing shutter speed, aperture or ISO.

The adjustable 5-inch HDR touchscreen reaches 1500 nits, making it easier to monitor outdoors than the displays on earlier Pocket models. The camera can also record directly to compatible USB-C drives, which is especially useful when working with larger Blackmagic RAW files.

Production-ready SSD and V-Mount rig

Our rental package is configured for longer shooting days and more demanding rigged setups. The SmallRig kit includes a camera cage, baseplate, two 15mm rods, top handle, sun hood, V-Mount battery plate and SSD holder. Two 500GB SSDs are supplied for direct USB-C recording, together with USB-C cables for data connection.

Power options include two 95Wh V-Mount batteries, an NP-F battery, chargers, D-Tap to 2-pin locking power cables and the original AC adapter. This gives operators several ways to power the camera depending on whether the setup is handheld, tripod-based or built around a larger production rig.
